Preheat the oven to 350. Mix the berries with the sugar and pour into a 9×13 baking dish.
Melt the butter, then stir while it gets a nice brown. Use a mixer or fork or whisk to mix the butter and cake mix.
Spread on top of the berries. Bake at 350 for 45 min or so. (Mine took over an hour and I ended up turning it to 425! Not sure what that was about – the other dump cakes didn’t do that.)
Serve warm or cool. We served it with vanilla ice cream.

This wasn’t the best one. Mixing the cake mix and butter together changed the way it cooked, at least with my gluten free mix. There also didn’t seem to be enough butter to get it all moist, and the berries didn’t have a ton of juice so it was, all in all, a little dry. The flavor was ok, but overall it was just that: OK.
