This is a simple, 4 ingredient cocktail, served in a highball glass. The measurements are odd – I’ve never seen a cocktail recipe measured in tablespoons before! – but nothing else is out of the ordinary.
4 1/2 tbsp bourbon (we used Makers Mark)
1 1/2 tbsp cranberry juice
1 tbps lemon juice
2 tbps simple syrup (make with equal parts sugar and water, boil til sugar is dissolved and cool)
Put all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake well.
RP SERVINGS: It makes 1 cocktail per recipe.
RATING: 3 stars with the lemon juice tweak
This isn’t a favorite, but it’s good. It’s not too different than an Old Fashioned, and you could use an orange wedge instead of lemon successfully, I think. Since 4 tbsp is 1/4c, we suggest using a measuring cup or jigger instead of worrying about tablespoons, which was messy. (1 tbsp = 1/2 oz, 2 tbsp = 1 oz, etc)
