1 12oz container frozen lemonade
3 fresh peaches, cut up with skin
1/3 can water
Vodka, rum, and/or peach schnapps (Optional)
Blend the lemonade concentrate, peaches, water and ice in a blender until smooth. I did the drink with no alcohol so that we could add that to the glass individually to taste. You could mix it all together if you're all adults!
RP servings: I'd say 4, although you could use smaller glasses and get 6-8
NOTES: I had a feeling this was going to be mega tart when I started making it - and I actually just realized it says 1/3 can of water, not 1/2, which is what I used. I can't remember the last time I bought frozen lemonade concentrate, and it wasn't Piggly Wiggly, but I think they're all pretty tart. And YES, this was a puckerer. FOR SERIOUS. I added more ice which helped - you DEFINITELY need to make it a frozen drink so that extra water from the ice dilutes it. Also, these weren't super big, super juicy peaches. I ended up adding about 1/3 c of simple syrup to it, and it's still tart, but in a nice way, not a painful one! You can add more to taste.
For an alcoholic lemonade, we added a jigger of gold rum per tall glass and stirred to mix. On mine, I added a coconut rum floater on top - just about 1/3 oz - which brought the tart down another tad and gave it a nice coconutty back-end finish. You could use any kind of rum (white, gold or dark), and even flavored. Our guava rum would be really tasty in this! You could also use vodka. I'd probably either use a flavored vodka, or use half vodka and half peach schnapps which would sweeten it up.
With the doctoring, it's a solid 4!
NOTE: I made these around 6pm. At 7:25, when it was supposedly dinner time, I said to my husband, "Those drinks were pretty filling... I'm not hungry at all." He said, "Me neither!" Neither of us finished 1 in a tall glass. Just keep that in mind when you make them!
