There are some recipes in the world that I imagine a very specific backstory for. In my mind, this recipe’s creation involved an extremely desperate bodybuilder who had a show coming up in 2 weeks. She knew that she couldn’t have ice cream, but by God she had to have ice cream. So this recipe was born, and, in her desperation, she convinced herself that it was just as good as ice cream.
I have similar backstories for the creation of cauliflower “Alfredo” sauce, spaghetti squash pasta, and 3 ingredient pancakes.
