Hard boiled eggs were the first thing that I made in the Instant Pot. The whole pressures cooker thing just seemed so intimidating, and hard boiled eggs seemed like something where, even if I completely ruined it, life would go on fairly easily! This is a recipe that I’ve made before, but it’s on Pinterest, so I think it’s fair game!
Place eggs in the Instant Pot. You can put them directly on the trivet, or in a steamer basket if you have one. Add at least a cup of water.
Seal the Instant Pot and set on manual for 5 minutes. Once cooked, let naturally release for 5 minutes, then finish with the quick release. Move the eggs from the Instant Pot to an ice bath, and let cool for 5 minutes. Peel and eat.
RP Servings: However you make
Stars: 5, but there’s nothing special about this recipe. It’s just regular hard boiled eggs! It’s certainly not faster, since you have to wait for the pressure to build up. They don’t peel more easily, though some people claim that they do. It’s not really much easier, either. But it’s a solid way to make them!
